2 John 1:6  And this is love, that we walk
according to His commandments. This is the very commandment you have heard from the beginning, that you must walk in love.

Faith does not save you. Jesus saves you

"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without obedience is dead also" (James 2:26).

Faith is your power over the world.

To A Christian, "Works" Is Obedience To God

Faith is a belief with a strong conviction; firm belief in something for which there may be no tangible proof;
complete trust, confidence, reliance, or devotion. Faith is the opposite of doubt and fear!

Faith will not save you. Faith is not a gift. Faith is needed after you are saved. Faith is simply trusting that God is speaking to you and your power to obey. It is the spiritual strength that you exercise.  Faith is trusting that Jesus is there to help you. Faith is trusting that the Holy Spirit is God speaking you. Your faith is your power to defeat satan and do God's work to help others.  Faith is based on the power of Jesus to control satan. Faith is the power of love to help cast out demons. Faith is trust, allowing you to feel joy and sing songs of praise to God.
Take no pride in your faith. If you  moved mountains, the power came from Jesus as He tied satan to the rocks at the center of the earth. Jesus had that power over satan because He obeyed God and died on the cross for you.

James is not saying that justification is by faith plus works, but rather that a person who is truly justified by faith will have good works in his/her life. If a person claims to be a believer, but has no good works in his life, then he likely does not have genuine faith in Christ (James 2:14,).

Faith is the substance or assurance of things we hope for, but have not yet received. Faith (trust) is also our evidence of that which is not seen, the invisible spiritual things. Faith comes before you have received what you asked God for.

Faith is simply taking God at His word!   "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass away."  "The word of the Lord abides forever." "The grass withers, flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever."

"Works" Means Obedience Nothing Else   Humans can only be saved by the grace of God, through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. There is nothing that we can ever possibly do to save ourselves. We don't have the power to do it, and no amount of "law keeping," or "righteous acts," or "Leviticus rituals," or "works" can possibly make God owe it to us. We can not earn salvation. But does that mean that nothing is required of Christians? Can we just sit back and have faith alone and be saved? What does your Bible plainly warn about it? "So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead." (James 2:17 RSV)

The people who are recorded in Scripture that took amazing steps of faith to do the unthinkable, go through incredible suffering without losing joy or peace, and constantly were unfulfilled in their endeavors and striving in this world, had their eyes on something other than this world. They were able to see through eyes of faith and with a heart that trusted in what God told them.

Something that all of those who have answered the call of God can relate to personally. God gives as much information as  His people need to know at the appropriate time; not before it is needed and never later than it ought to be known.

Faith is trusting what the eye cannot see! Eyes see storms. Faith sees Noah's rainbow. Your eyes see your faults. Your faith sees your Savior. Your eyes see your guilt. Your faith sees His blood. Your eyes look in the mirror and see a sinner, a failure. But by faith you look in the mirror and see a robed prodigal bearing the ring of grace on your finger and the kiss of your Father on your face.   How do I know this is true? some might ask. It's nice prose, but give me the facts. "God's power is very great for those who believe," Paul taught. Ephesians 1:19-20  "That power is the same as the great strength God used to raise Christ from the dead." Next time you wonder if God can forgive you, read that verse. The very hands that were nailed to the cross are open for you right now!

Heaven and earth will pass, but God's Word will not. This means that no matter how you feel or what you experience, you can choose to
depend on the Word of God as the unchanging reality of your life.

God has not changed how He deals with people. People's ability to understand the things of God has not been lost in the twenty-first century. The only reason why the people of God are not doing the same things we read about in the Scriptures is due to the fact that those who claim to worship God have lost their faith in His Word and have
become dependent upon mankind's logic and understanding. Believers today must learn how to trust God's ability to do all He has promised and proclaimed in spite of their inability to fathom how it could possibly be true.

The word "works" means obedience to God - only Satan, would oppose truly obeying God?
