Sin separates us from God and blocks His answers
to prayer. The honest prayer of repentance removes
the hindrances to answered prayer.... God cannot look upon sin in His people; sin separates us from God.

Most sins are protected by the Sin of Pride.
Not wanting to confess to others or Jesus.

Our burden is not as burdensome as we think; we can always lighten it by OBEYING GOD.  (I John 5:3).

It is true that pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, anger, and sloth are sins, and it is true that such evil
desires in the heart can lead to other sins Matthew 15:19). But it would be wrong to think of the seven capital sins, or seven deadly sins, is worse in God's eyes than any other sin. All sins in God's eyes are equal; they are all "missing the mark." Stealing is no worse than pride, and greed is no worse than lying; there are no small sins or big sins, because all sin is equally offensive to our holy and pure God.
God cannot and will not allow any sin in His holy presence--none (Habakkuk 1:13).

A cynical pride. Speaks sarcastically, use cutting words, ridicule others, scold and misjudge them.

Pride was the first sin committed. It was the sin of Lucifer. It was also the root of the Original Sin committed by Adam and Eve.  Pride is the greatest of sins because it is the summit of self-love and is directly opposed to submission to God. It is, therefore, the sin most hated by God, and the one He punishes most severely. The punishment of the Angels, of Adam and Eve, related in the Book of (Daniel 4:27-30), bear witness to this.    Pride is likewise the greatest sin because it is the fountainhead of the self-love in which all other sins take root: "From pride all perdition took its beginning." (Tob. 4:14).

There is a part of pride in every sin, whatever may be the individual nature of the sin itself.

Hebrews 13:5-6 The Sin of Fear, when not controlled, gives evidence that a person does not believe that God is telling the truth, that God cannot be trusted.

Isaiah 59:2  But there is a problem--your sins have cut you off from God.
Because of your sin, He has turned away and will listen no more.

You can fake religion? Easy to do in church.
A life lived acting good. In the end you will find all your good deeds were for the wrong reason.  For your own glory.
Trying to take the glory away from GOD. Acting as GOD in other peoples eyes.   A wasted life.    No reward.
Luke 18:19  Why do you call me good?  Jesus answered. "No one is good-except God alone.
Even Jesus would not let others call Him good.
Why would you?    Acting good is bad!

Isaiah 59:2  But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. Isaiah 59:1   Listen! The LORD is not too weak to save you, and
He is not becoming deaf.   He can hear you when you call.

1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Deuteronomy 28:48   God warns the Israelites that, if they failed to serve Him properly, He would allow their enemies to fit them with a "yoke of iron." Clearly, the yoke of iron--a heavy, confining restraint--is an implement of destruction used by God to punish His people for their sins.      People bring this yoke upon themselves through disobedience to God. If you are feeling that your yoke is too heavy, you are wearing the wrong yoke. If so, you need to examine yourselves (II Corinthians 13:5). Have we brought the yoke of iron upon ourselves? If we do not repent, a heavy yoke of sin will destroy us!       Many times do we blame God for our trials, when in fact, by our ingratitude and worldliness, we have fitted ourselves with an iron yoke! When we refuse to recognize our sins or to evaluate our spiritual condition soberly, we are returning to the bondage from which we have been so graciously freed.     Lamentations 1:14: "The yoke of my transgressions was Bound and thrust upon my neck. He made my strength fail; the Lord delivered me to the hands of those I am not able to withstand."

We are born losers. The son's and daughters of Adam and Eve. We are totally self-centered without any love, but for ourselves. God's love sent us a way to be forgiven, by sacrificing his only Son. Love only allows God to give us what is best for us. If we are so far from the truth we must be destroyed. This is His last act of love to destroy us before we enter the Kingdom He created for us. Love has no bounds!
